Add Benefits to Advanced Donation Form

We often set up a giving page for an event or appeal that will include a benefit/quid. However, there is no way for us to include that in the gift information that is sent to CRM. This means that our gift processor has to know the benefit should be added to the gift and also remember to do so. This becomes difficult when supporting multiple units across multiple campuses.


I would propose that a benefits section be added to the API used by the advanced donation form that would allow us to specify one or more benefits to apply to a gift, similar to how tributes and attributes are done. The corresponding process in CRM to add gifts to a batch would also need to be modified.

      I cannot like/vote/promote/emphasize this enough!!! It is VERY important.

      We and an event heavy organization and we use LetterBox to generate our letters. Benefits are an essential field. Receipt amount does not cut it.

      The Letter Box team is absolutely amazing and accommodating. They have kindly added necessary fields (e.g., Gift Code, Package, etc.) with a quick turnaround. Unfortunately, they have told me that they cannot add the Benefits field because Blackbaud's API does not allow access to this field.

      PLEASE CHANGE THIS!!!!!
