It is currently hard to tell which organisation record is the parent, unless you are viewing the corporate structure page. It is not clearly indicated anywhere on the constituent record, whereas a subsidiary organisation has info about the parent clearly displayed on the top panel, next to lookup ID. Primary Organisation is indicated by a green tick on the record's 'organisation' tab - Oxford suggests there could be a similar indicator for parent organisation in the same place.
