Enable Gift Aid Declaration Validation
Gifts that are qualified for Gift Aid (where the constituent has a valid Declaration) are included successfully in a R68, however if any of the constituent's personal criteria such as the post code or first name fail to meet the HMRC requirements, the particular gift will cause the entire Gift Aid online submission to HMRC to fail. To prevent this there should be a process that enables the validation of the Gift Aid Declaration when it is set up so that any problems can be rectified there and then. If there is insufficient constiuent data available to enable the GAD to be validated then the gifts made by the constituent will not be marked as eligible for Gift Aid and so they will not cause problems for the online submission to HMRC.
