To ensure proper batch internal controls, we have a "cashier" create all batches.  Once the batches are created, the documentation is placed into a bin for multiple data entry folks to enter.  This ensures we have one place in the system for all outstanding uncommitted batches.  It would be great if we could then start the import process and have the option to assign it to an existing batch.
