The Research Request assignment queue process is multi-step where our office is not large enough to require as much overhead to complete requests. Since we directly assign Research Analysts to a portfolio of officers, it would reduce data entry steps and save time to have Research Requests automatically assign to a Research Analyst based on the officer who is making the request.

This could be done through a matrix of officer/ research analyst partnerships that updated the assignment and status of requests after they are entered.
