Allow Web Dashboards to show dates in standard format with NO time stamp

Web Dashboards in Blackbaud CRM ONLY display dates with strange formatting and a mandatory time stamp. A CRM Web Dashboard displays dates like this :

2017-03-27T00:00:00

instead of displaying it as 03/27/2017, which is how that same data list shows the date field in data list results displayed on a custom tab, or when looking at results while editing the data list itself.

This makes the dates VERY difficult to read within a dashboard. Our web dashboards are designed for our end users, and as a group they almost universally find the date formatting very off putting, and it makes them less likely to 'buy in' to using the web dashboards to pull up their desired data. In addition to being counterproductive to the reason that we use web dashboards, these strangely formatted date fields also take up quite a lot of real estate on the screen, where in most of our web dashboards, we are trying to put in as much information as we can fit on the screen in a readable way. So this issue causes problems for us in 2 different ways.

Upon putting in a support ticket with Blackbaud about this, I was informed that "Unfortunately, It is not currently possible to adjust the date formatting within the Web Dashboard. These Web Dashboards are pulling information from the backend of the platform (SQL), which is why the date and time is expressed according to ISO 8601"

Upon further discussion, Blackbaud support suggested that I put in an idea bank request to ask for web dashboards to have the ability to display dates with standard formatting, or to at least give you a choice between what kind of date formatting you would like to have dates use in your web dashboards.

Definitely agree. This odd format also wastes a lot of column width -- 9 unnecessary characters.
