At the moment CUB import silently drops Gender and possibly Date of Birth if we choose to ignore a change to name or add it as an alias.

This makes no sense. If we choose not to update someone's name from Rose to Rosie, for example, we don't want to silently ignore an update of Gender.

I reported this as a bug but R&D said it was by design, so please consider changing the design to separate out these other fields so we can make separate decisions about them.
