Currently, for batches using the same design - it is impossible to use the same batch number more than once. This is good. The request is, we need to be able to avoid duplicate batch numbers even when the batches are using a range of designs. For example, we use different batch designs for US Vs. Canadian revenue, but we want to suppress them from being able to use the same batch number. We use batch numbers for queries and reports, and duplicates make our reports inaccurate. Preferably this would be optional, so we could choose how many batch designs to suppress duplicate batch numbers between.
