It should be possible to migrate text from an outside source into BBCRMs email editor, as a simple cut and paste, in such a way that the hyperlinks transfer and the font automatically adjusts to the set template. This is technically not a regression or defect as it has never existed in BBDM/BBIS, however it is industry standard when building HTML emails in other tools such as Campaign Monitor, dotMailer, MailChimp etc.
