Allow users to associate a public media efforts to a marketing plan
Our security plan prevents users from creating stand-alone marketing efforts so that 1) all efforts are part of a planned or ad-hoc plan, are reviewed/approved at the beginning of the fiscal year, 3) provides structure and a streamlined approach. Currently there no functionality in CRM to allow a user to create a public media effort off of a marketing plan. As a result we have to violate our own security plan and allow users to create public media efforts as a stand alone effort. This in term provides no bridge between the effort and the original plan and thus limits our organizations' ability to report out on a consolidated annual plan without having to go to various locations for data.
This is a gap in design and needs to be fixed so that organizations can build out their social and other online and media campaigns.
