When importing a segmented house file into an inactivated marketing effort, enable a "check alternate ID" for look up field. Often data is exported out of CRM, provided to the vendor for segmentation, by the time the vendor returns the file, records get merged. When that happens, a user has to manually check each lookup ID for the current lookup ID and then manually make the change on a CSV file before uploading. If the system had the ability to check "alternate ID" this workload would be eliminated.
