This idea has been updated to refer specifically to the ability to update the Designations on Recurring Gift payments so that when the recurring Gift itself is updated via a Revenue update Batch, that associated payments will reflect the change.

If you use a generated Revenue Update Batch to update the designation on a Pledge, this does automatically also update the Pledge payments, but if you update the designation on a Recurring Gift, this does not automatically update the Recurring Gift payments. This demonstrates a regrettable inconsistency in data maintenance and there are no warnings about this in the relevant documentation.
