You are not able to inactive volunteer types like other areas of the system (code table values, registration types, etc). This is an issue for organization where there is volunteer type that they want to be able to keep on records for historical purposes but don't want users to be able to add to records going forward. It would be great if this inactivate feature on volunteer types could be added in a future release.
