We need to be able to split the gift by amount and in some cases keep the same designation but different holding purposes and credit accounts.  We received an error when splitting to same designation and had no way to get to the debit/credit or holding purpose journal update form.   There is a customization involved to handle the account parts, but it won't work unless the add form allows users to have splits to the same designation.
