Currently, when you create a new educational institution an incomplete organization record is also created. This is confusing to users as these partial org records are appearing in various search options (such as on the add relationship screen). These partial orgs are only searchable via some of the search screens but not all which is also confusing to users. (Not visible from the main organization search for example) This should be reviewed and possibly changed to either not be searchable anywhere in the application or to create complete organization records.

Nearly eight years later and this issue still exists. According to Product Development, being able to link records via relationships to records that you cannot access in any other way is "Working as Designed". Please PD, can you tell us the reasons for this ability, as, surely, it should not be possible?

This has security implications as well. Those that do not have access to delete educational institutions are able to do so if they locate and find the partial organization record as they do have access to delete organizations. No warning is given to let the user know that they are also deleting an educational institution.
You can also search/select these partial organization records when adding event registrations.
