update tabs on constituent records that are inconsistently “sticky”

The tabs on a constituent record have the feature of being able to be dragged and dropped into a different position on the row of tabs.  Once moved, the tab should stay where it was placed.  This works inconsistently, with the tabs re-ordering based upon changes made on an unrelated record (i.e., change on an individual record affects changes on an unrelated organization record). This is a very inconvenient feature as it does not always work properly.

If the unique constituency tabs (for us that is volunteer, prospect and fundraiser) are in the far left position, and users DO NOT adjust any other tab on any record (Individual or organization) to the far left, then the tab order seems to stay. As a fail safe, the Personal Info or Org Info tab could follow and then on any record users can be instructed to not move any tab left of the Personal or Organization Info tabs. It is a temporary fix in our view. It used to be that individual record types and organization record type tab orders were independently managed and wouldn't affect the other. Now any change to either results in the other record type changing, as well. Users are becoming quite frustrated, process efficiency is adversely impacted, and as a result, labor costs are higher for processes. We've submitted a ticket internally with our IT to see whether a change was introduced that could be causing this, but in the meantime, I'm voting on this as it seems the only ticket that articulates what our users are experiencing.

Please fix this issue. It is very frustrating to have the order of the tabs automatically change. There are tabs we use on a regular basis and that gets moved to the end.

We went live on BBCRM in April 2019 on Azure. One of the biggest selling points was that you could customize your tabs and they would stick.  This is not the case consistently.  The order of tabs can change throughout the day. It might start off as you have customized but later on it may change to back to the default.  This is also happening with the Autosize Column figure. It is very inconvenient since some of the most important tabs always end up far to the right.
