CRM adds country address formats automatically, but for many countries the address format is incorrect. Taking Switzerland as an example, the default address format includes the State Abbreviation field. According to a third-party site for international address formats, referenced in KB 59351, Swiss mailing address formats do not contain a state/province field. This causes a problem when Swiss donors go to a BBIS donation form > Select Country: Switzerland > the Province field is required but there are no selectable options so they are unable to donate.

Note: This can be fixed by deleting the State Abbreviation field from Switzerland's Address Format in Administration > Countries and States > Address formats tab > Switzerland > Edit, but in our opinion, CRM shouldn't automatically add incorrect values to a country's address format or BBIS shouldn't require the field.
