If you get an error message indicating a required field has not been completed, allow the user to click the "customize fields" button to get the required field. If the user does not grab all required fields initially, the system has to be closed, the batch deleted and a new batch started. You cannot save, save and close, click customized batch or any step that would allow a user to continue working on the batch.
