Most universities have to (or want to) report on giving by primary constituency and VSE "bucket". Because these values are not stamped on the transactions, we have to write code to determine what the primary constituency or vse constituency was for a gift at the time the gift was made. It would be really nice to be able to just lift that value from the transaction rows instead of having to write all sorts of code to reconstruct historical constituency values, especially for the constituencies that CRM calculates "on the fly".
