When merging constituents, it would be great if each name field were treated as separate fields to merge, rather than the whole name. For example if we have a constituent: W H Smith, merging with Walter Smith, Walter will be replaced by H, because W H Smith is considered the more complete name. This then requires a manual update after the merge to keep the full name. Additionally, if names are changed in a merge, the former names should automatically be stored in the Alternative Names section.
