It would be great to align the functionalities which are available on the recurring gift with sponsorship recurring gift and vice versa. In particular, version 4 has some great new functionalities with the status edits on recurring gifts and capturing the reasons for the status edits which are missing on sponsorships. This causes the business rules to be altered and functionalities like skipping payments to be unused, as it does not happen the same with Sponsorship.
