Recognition credits are not adjusted when performing a global pledge write-off

https://www.blackbaud.com/files/support/helpfiles/crm/us/40/Content/RPRunPledgeWriteoffProcesses.html

When a pledge is written off via globel pledge write off functionality, the recognition credit does not get reset accordingly. This seriously affects reports, as most of fundraising activity reports are generated based on recognition credits. We have to manually write off each and every one of the outstanding pledges in order to reset the recognition credit to the correct amount. Furthermore, pledge write-off batches cannot be imported so everything has to be done by hand if one wants to get the recognition amounts correct.

I absolutely agree this needs to be fixed.  However, there should be an option to either adjust or not adjust the recognition credits depending on the business process of the organization.  It isn't a one size fits all situation.

This would be extremely helpful to us!

Allow the user to choose whether or not to adjust recognition credit when running this process.

Being able to import into a pledge write-off batch would alleviate the problem as well.

This would be very a very beneficial feature.   There is tons of manual effort to back out the recognition when we cancel pledges

    This is a no brainer

This needs to change to much room for mistakes.
