allow override of defaults for particular pieces of information during merge process
In certain cases, the merge configuration used may not be appropriate for a particular pair of duplicate records -- but mostly so. In this case, it would be nice to be able to override some of the configuration settings for specific data so that it behaved differently, such as retaining the information from the source instead of the target, etc.

There are no planned changes to this area in 2016, however one possible option is to have an additional Merge Configuration that is fluid. The users can then make edits to only this merge configuration prior to merging two constituents that do not fit the merge profile of the other pairs.
