It would be very helpful if we could halt a queue while it is running. Even better would be a dashboard that showed all business processes currently running, across all of CRM, and allowed them to be terminated.

This would be extremely useful. It can take quite a while to arrange for BB support to do this, by which time it may be too late. Also, if we have to ask BB support to do an App Pool Recycle, that's very disruptive and may require fixing the data from other processes which are killed at the same time.
This would also help when exports/ETL refresh are run and do not complete in a reasonable time frame. Today we have to open several support cases, just to have support kill the jobs. It would truly benefit to have this feature available to hosted clients.
