Add the ability to modify the display MM/DD/YYYY for Revenue Date Merge Field?

When using an export definition for a BBIS message, the format displays with the time, example: MM/DD/YYY 12:00 PM. We would like the option to remove the time and only show the Date, MM/DD/YYYY.
