add a way to track the date an opportunity is expected to be realized
Animals Asia uses opportunities on their Planned Gifts. They would like the ability to track the date an opportunity is likely to be realized. The Response date field is calculated automatically when the Revenue is created. They already use this field to track the actual date when the opportunity is actually realized. Currently their only options are to create a new field for Expected Realize Date via customization/SDK or use the comment field on the Opportunity record.

Related ideas
We requested a configuration during design to accomplish this specifically. We added "Expected Commitment Amount" and "Expected Commitment Date". We use these fields along with the likelihood to help us in forecasting whether or not we will reach our fundraising goals.
I would add that all tracking (forecasting) is presently achieved via the Ask Date. A new field would be desirable and the ability to base all reports off the new field instead of the Ask Date.
