The ability to link recurring gifts to opportunities

There are now additional types of revenue that you can link to opportunities in order to track high-impact donations. Previously, Blackbaud CRM allowed you to associate pledges and donations with an opportunity to signify the level of fulfillment of the opportunity. You can now link opportunities to event registrations, matching gift claims, and planned gifts. the ability to associate recurring gifts as well, would allow expanded functionality around opportunities.

    We would really like to have the functionality to link recurring gifts to opportunities. Is this expected anytime soon? Or planned to be extended to all revenue types?

    We are also very interested in being able to link recurring gifts to opportunities.  Hopefully there will be movement on this in the near future.

    Yes, very interested in this feature as a way to track fundraiser solicitations to recurring gifts, which is a priority for our annual fund goals.

    Hi Pat, this is a huge need for us at UWA. To close a successful plan, our fundraisers link the revenue to the opportunity. This is currently not possible when the donor establishes a recurring gift (annual fund, scholarships/prizes) and thus requires us to establish work-arounds to ensure our reporting needs are met. It's my opinion that there shouldn't be any limit on the revenue application that we can apply to opportunities.
