While entering a matching gift claim to a donation, the claim does not show up in batch until that batch is committed. Some companies send initial donations via payroll deduction and the match on the same check, which must be booked within the same batch. We have other companies that send donations and matches on separate checks, but at the same time, often received same day causing similar problems. If we use the system for tracking matching gifts, there will be data lost resulting in incomplete reporting.
It would be best if the claim information could update similar to pledge changes where the claims show up immediately upon being saved, rather than after the batch is committed.
