Currently, you can create new events (including registration options) through batch and register individuals through batch (including the registration option).  There is no way to add event preferences through the batch, though.  This limits the usability of registration batches.  Either the user needs to register each individual individually to enter the preferences or enter through batch and then edit each individually to add the preferences.  Both options are inefficient and slow down processing.
