The Merge Selection tool is a very handy way for a CRM user to create a new subset of constituents based on existing selections. It seems like it would be fairly easy to repurpose this tool so that it could be used to populate event invitations. While you can use the tool to make a new selection to be used with an invitation, it adds an unnecessary selection to the whole process.
