To overwrite the no email solicit code for Admin or Urgent emails
Currently if the solicit code No emails is on a profile BBIS will not send them an email, no exceptions. The ability to have exceptions for things other than receipts would be helpful.
Hi Sam- Understand it's unlikely to get the green light ever, but it is legal for us to still send "administrative" email to people who have opted out of "marketing" emails under GDPR, so we would also like to see a way of overriding global opt outs- for example to send event joining instructions out to people who have signed up to an event- our Supporter Care team currently have to run QC checks to look for people who were missed out & forward them the emails outside of BBIS. There is actually a way of doing this using configuration, but it involves re-implementing how we use email solicit codes.
Unfortunately, this change will and can never me made to the product. CAN-SPAM, CASL and upcoming GDPR regulations require that a constituent can opt-out of receiving any email from you that is not self-initiated. Blackbaud's email delivery vendor also requires that a global email opt-out be honored. As such, I am marking this as will not address.
