It should be possible when desirable to send an email to non-preferred email addresses, based upon business rules of specific email type ordering for that particular communication, subject to ensuring that (a) this does not override any Communication Preferences requesting that a communication be sent to a specific email address or not at all; and (b) it takes account of current valid email addresses only and not any marked as Do Not Email. This would facilitate prioritising specific email address types – such as a University email account or a business address – for certain communications, when helpful to do so.
